New flu affects pupils and students

According to Doctor Branislav Tiodorovic between 400,000 and 600,000 cases of new flu could be registered in Serbia until the end of the season, while 20,000 people might be hospitalized.

B92 presents mammography machine

Mammography machines are the leading form of diagnostic equipment in the world, with direct technology that ensures extremely accurate results.
It was purchased with funds raised via the “77 women in 7 days” charity campaign from 114 companies from home and abroad, as well as from a number of local and national institutions in Serbia during 2008.
Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor found in women, most commonly between the ages of 55 and 70. The number of breast cancer cases continues to grow in Serbia, mainly due to poor public knowledge of the subject and infrequent check-ups.
The first digital, mobile mammography machine arrived in Serbia in May, enabling women who live in areas with less developed health care to receive their check-ups regularly, thus increasing the chances of successful treatment if the breast cancer is detected in time.

Ten cases of swine flu reported in Serbia

Belgrade Public Health Institute epidemiologist Predrag Kon says that the new patients come from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica and Niš.

The first swine flu case in the country was confirmed three days ago. The 29-year-old patient is said to be feeling well.
